Help

This website is built using the Drupal system. It's a convenient content management package. Right now it is administered by Joe Kniss out of the Computer Science department.

Frequently Asked Questions:
  • What kind of content goes on this site? Anything IFDM related! This includes course information, organizational information, even student asignments.
  • How do I get an account to add content? Ask any of the current IFDM faculty, they can change your role to a contributor. The quickest way (right now) is to send email to Joe Kniss (jmk(-at-)cs.unm.edu).
  • How do I create content? First log in. Under your user name you will see a "Create content" link. Click it. Select page (a more permanent link, for example a core class) or story (a more volatile piece of information like an event or memo). You should see an edit page. Add your content, and make sure you set it to appear somewhere in the menus.
  • Where can I find more information on using this system? A good place to start is the Beginners Cookbook. This is a useful piece of the Drupal handbook for users. More importantly, the Basic Content documentation is essential.
